Dorothy Ann Hudson Byrd Carlton, 82, of Ashland, passed away at Ashland Health and Rehab on December 21, 2022. She was born in Myrtle, Mississippi on March 25, 1940, to Penny L Hudson and Kate Kiddy Hudson. Mrs Carlton was a waitress and worked at Wurlitzer.
Mrs Carlton is survived by two sons, Walker "Bo" Byrd (Sara) and Tommy L Byrd (Tammy), and three daughters, Audrey B Modares, Kathy B Cothern, and Katie B Lobsinger (Ken). She also leaves eleven grandchildren, Donna Young, Stephanie Richard, Timothy Cothern, Stephen Norman, Kell Modares, Crystal Looney, Danielle Cothern, Heather Watson, Courtney Byrd, Tommy Byrd Jr, and Jack Byrd; twenty eight great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ara Ilene Hudson Byrd, and three grandchildren, Jack W Byrd, Jonathan D Cothern, and Destiny P Byrd.
Services for Mrs Carlton will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022 at 2:30 pm, in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home. A visitation will be held for family and friends, beginning at noon, and lasting until service time. Burial, following the service, will be at Hill Crest Cemetery.
