Dorothy "Dot" Nicholson Bryant, 92, of Collierville, Tennessee, died on September 18, 2021. Dot, a native of Collierville was married to Gene Bryant for 55 years. She graduated from Collierville High School and worked as a Cosmetologist. Dot owned her own Beauty Salon for over 20 years. She was active in many organizations, and was a member of Collierville First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Pearl Taylor Nicholson; her step-father, Marion Sexton; husband, Gene Bryan; a daughter Pat Smith and son-in-law, Jimmy Smith; granddaughter, Jim-Ann Smith, and brothers Cecil Nicholson, Milo Nicholson, and Marlon Sexton Jr. She is survived by her brother, David (Betsy) Sexton, niece Doretha Franks, and cousin Pat Thomas.
Due to the pandemic, a private service will be held at the Chapel at Magnolia Cemetery, with burial to follow. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Collierville First Baptist Church, 830 New Byhalia Road, Collierville, TN 38017, |
