Douglas Clifton Smith 74, passed away June 12, 2019 at his home in Waterford, MS. Mr. Smith was born January 15, 1945 to John Clifton Smith and Margie Westmoreland Smith in Waterford, MS. Mr. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church of Potts Camp. Mr Smith was retired from Bell South and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Services will be held June 14, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. There will be a visitation beginning at 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Waterford Methodist Cemetery.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Betty Keel Smith of Waterford, MS. His son D. Edward Smith (Lisa) of Vero Beach, FL. Two daughters, Cana Minor (Danny) of Waterford, MS and Tresha Ivey (Ken) of Madison, MS. A brother, John A. Smith of Holly Springs, MS. Five sisters, Wylena Day of Pensacola, FL, Carol Hurdle of Holly Springs, MS, Vickie Latimer of Tyro, MS, Phyliss Jenkins of Oxford, MS and Kim Phillips of Hernando, MS. Ten grandchildren, Daniel Minor (Nikki), Dustin Minor (Hanna), Dylan Minor, Caitlyn Ivey (Daniel), Conner Ivey, Clay Smith (Kimberly), Jason Smith, Rachael Harrison, Nicole Harrison and Sean Harrison. Four great grandchildren, Grady Minor, Isabella Minor, Annastin Minor and Marlee Smith.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Smith and great grandchild Dawson Blackwell. |
