Elizabeth Pearl Moore (Betty) of Holly Springs, entered into glory on September 9, 2022 at the age of 90, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 12, 1931, in Holly Springs, to Bernard Summerfield and Attie Lena Reid Holbrook. She was a life long member of First Baptist Church in Holly Springs and was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the church choir.
Betty is survived by her children, Karen D. Holley (Mike) of Hernando,, Merri Grace Woods (Pat) of Byhalia, MS and Teresa D. Campbell of Olive Branch, and sister in law, Wanda Holbrook. She leaves six grandchildren, Patrick Woods, Philip Woods, Jessica Hughes, Matt Holley, Dustin Clarkson, and Rachel Coop, and 13 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ferrell Lee Moore, her daughter Sandra Leigh Clark, her father, B.S. Holbrook and mother, Lena Holbrook, two sisters, Katherine Duke and Audrey Merritt, and two brothers, Henry Holbrook and Billy Earl Holbrook.
Services for Mrs Moore will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 11:30 am, in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 am, and last until service time. Burial will be at Hill Crest Cemetery. |
