Evelyn Hewell Smith, 74, of Holly Springs, passed away surrounded by her family, at Baptist Hospital in Southaven on November 2, 2023. She was born in Clarksville, Tennessee, on January 6, 1949, to Clyde A Hewell and Mildred Watson Hewell. Mrs Smith, along with her husband Ray, owned and operated the famiy business, Smitty's Auto Service.
Mrs Smith is survived by a son, Kenneth Ray Smith (Charmaine) of Byhalia, and a daughter, Sharon Renee Vickers (Kenny) of Holly Springs. She also leaves a brother, William Hewell (Julie) of Bartlett, Tennessee, a sister, Linda Hewell of Oxford, four grandchildren, Jamie, Joseph, Benny, and Dustin, and four great grandchildren Dean, Joel, Grayson, and Caroline. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty six years, Raymond Daniel Smith.
Graveside services for Mrs Smith will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 3:00 pm, at Byhalia Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Sunday evening, November 5, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. |
