Holly Springs Funeral Home

Georgia Sue Hyde

Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend

Georgia Hyde passed on to her eternal home on Sunday, February 11, 2024, while at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Georgia was born on January 22, 1951 in Memphis, to Betty Cook and Harry T Caudle, later moving to Holly Springs to live her life with her husband, Ernie Hyde and her children and  grandchildren.  Georgia attended Bartlett High School and was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Holly Springs.

Georgia loved flowers, hummingbirds, and her cats and dogs, and cherished all of her babies with everything in her,  all of which brought her so much love, enjoyment, and happiness.  She enjoyed reading books in her free time, as well as keeping up to date on the lasted tv series.

She is survived by her husband, Ernie Hyde and her children, Angie Holbrook (Donnie) of Ashland, Shane Glass of Holly Springs, Daniel Hyde (Amy) of Lewisburg, Heath Hyde of Holly Springs, and Jason Hyde of Holly Springs; eleven grandchildren, Erica Sanders (Tyler), Hunter Holbrook, Reagan Hyde, Ava Hyde, Olivia Hyde, Jessica Hyde, Dillon Hyde, Corey Hyde, Kayla Hyde, and Chelsea Hyde, and one great grandchild, Tate Sanders.  She also leaves behind two sisters, Donna Cole of Holly Springs and Judy Wilson of Heber Springs, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty (Saxon) Cook of Holly Springs, and her father, Harry T Caudle of Memphis.

Georgia will especially be remembered for her peaceful nature and love for everyone.  She was everyone's 'mother, grandmother and friend'-- also known as "mamaG" to many-- with the kindest heart imaginable.  She was a fighter; she battled many health issues through the years with grace and persistence.  We were all blessed to have been a part of her life in love and friendship.

Public visitation will be held at the Holl Springs Funeral Home on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm.
