Harold Lynn Raines

Harold Raines, age 82, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Harold spent his working years in the freight industry, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service. In retirement, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time working around his house and tending to his garden—places where his care and hard work were always evident.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bobbie Raines, whom he missed dearly.

Harold is survived by his three sons, Chad Raines, Larry Tyler, and Gaylon Tyler, his brother Richard Raines and nephew Greg Raines who will forever cherish his memory, guidance, and love.

Harold’s legacy lives on through his family and the many memories shared with those who loved him.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Holly Springs, Mississippi where he will be buried.

I work closely with Chad Raines, and while I didn't know Harold (Chad's father), knowing Chad gives me insights into the type of man he was.

Chad is an incredibly respected and valued leader at General Motors, who's work ethic must have been established by his upbringing. Hard working, high-quality work, dependable, team player, team wins focused. This is an incredible reflection of Harold, I imagine!

Chad spoke fondly of his father often and I know of how much time and care Chad placed in providing as much care as possible to his father.

Our sincere condolences to the entire family. Sending our love and care from all at GM IT.

Chad, I'm sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a true friend and I have tried to find him for several years. You don't know me, but your Dad and I used to be close friends when we lived in Frayser. I'm sure you are the first son he had. We had a luncheon today of some of the ones that graduated Frayser High School and several other people brought his name up, again, I'm sorry for your loss, my condolences.
