Jackson Hudson Wittjen, Sr., of both Holly Springs and his beloved Hudsonville community, died January 15, 2019. He was 88.

He was born August 8, 1930 in Holly Springs to Johannes Anton Wittjen and Mary Walker Hudson Wittjen. After graduation from the University of Mississippi where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, he served his country as First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.

An entrepreneur of various intrests and a farmer, he was a successful and accomplished gentleman of passion and drive. He was a father who loved his family, a hunter who loved his land, and a business man who loved a good business deal.

He is survived by a son, Alexander Bradford Wittjen of Hudsonville, MS; daughters, Theresa Wittjen Quinn (Frank) of Memphis, TN and Jane Wittjen Adams (James) of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Conley Hudson Adams (Diana), Jackson Henry Adams, William Harrell Adams and Sarah Townes Quinn.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa "WeeTee" Totten Wittjen and a son, Jackson Hudson Wittjen, Jr.

Services will be held Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Christ Episcopal Church in Holly Springs with a visitation at 1:00 PM in the Parish Hall and a service in the sanctuary at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorial Gifts be made to Christ Episcopal Church, PO Box 596, Holly Springs, MS. 38635.
