James Cooper Hurdle, 86, passed away in Memphis on August 3, 2023. He was born in Memphis on June 12, 1937, to John Paul Hurdle and Martha Woodward Hurdle. Mr Hurdle was a former director of the Gas Division of the Holly Springs Utility Department.
Mr Hurdle is survived by a son, Paul Hurdle of Michigan, and two daughters, Penny Hurdle Plummer (Randy) of Mason, Tennessee, and Sharon Greene of Water Valley. He also leaves a brother, Ralph Greer of Collierville, eleven grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Joey Hurdle, a daughter, Paige Hurdle, and his wife Emma Burton Hurdle.
