James Donald Cook, 86, of Waterford, Mississippi, passed away at Ashland Health and Rehab on September 6, 2021. He was born in Laws Hill on Septemer 27, 1934, to Henry and Thelma Edlin Cook. Mr Cook was an auto mechanic and a Baptist.
He leaves his wife, Hazel Knighton Cook of Waterford, a sister Lenora Shaw of Memphis, and thirteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Cook and Vernon "Bo" Cook, and two sisters, Nannie Mae Taylor and Elzie Dahl.
A graveside service and burial will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 10:00 am, at Mt Moriah Cemetery in Laws Hill, Mississippi. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge.
