James Elbert Roberson 76, passed away August 3, 2022 at Appling Nursing Home, Cordova, Tennessee.. He was born on December 21, 1945, to Howard Roberson and Opal Brown Roberson in Moline, Alabama. James was retired from the Memphis Fire Department and a United States Army Veteran.
James is survived by hsi wife, Evelyn Roberson of Byhalia, a son, Duwayne Roberson (Becky), and daughter, Gloria Roberson, both of West Memphis. He also leaves two brothers, George Roberson (Betty Jean) of Olive Branch, and Raymond Roberson (Barbara) of Southaven, two sisters, Patricia Elardo of Olive Branch, and Cindy Roberson of Memphis, and three grandchildren, Andrew "AJ" Helton, Chase Roberson and Mason Roberson.
James was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Opal Roberson, brother, Billy Roberson, sister, Delores Stahl and son Bryan Helton.
Services will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 pm, and last until service time. Burial will be held at Byhalia Cemetery. In lieu flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. |
