James Garland Gandy, 73, passed away at his home in Potts Camp on July 20, 2022. He was born on June 3, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Hubert Marion Gandy and Francis Knight Gandy. Mr Gandy was a United States Navy veteran and a former truck driver.
Mr Gandy is survived by a son, Jesse Gandy of Holly Springs, and two daughters, Leafy Rivers Studard (Michael) of Potts Camp, and Savannah Acuff (Chad) of Myrtle. He also leaves three grandchildren, a brother, Hubert Gandy Jr of Arkansas, and two sisters, Lorene Miller of Grand Junction, and Pam Thompson of Tupelo. Mr Gandy was preceded in death by his wile, Renae Hollowell Gandy.
Graveside services for Mr Gandy will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Chewalla Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Sunday, July 24, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.
