Janet Sue Work Whaley

Janet Sue Work Whaley, 67, of Potts Camp, Mississippi, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Oxford, on March 22, 2021. She was born in Chicago, on November 1, 1953, to Robert Henry Work and Esther Louise Rhea Work.  Mrs. Whaley was a lifelong Baptist and worked as a teacher in Mississippi and Tennessee for forty years.

Mrs Whaley is survived by her husband, James "Jimmy" Ottis Whaley, and a son, Seth Whaley, both of Potts Camp.  She is also survived by a brother, Steve Work of Potts Camp, and two sisters, Doris Smith of Holly Springs, and Pat Work of Potts Camp. 

A visitation will be held at Salem Baptist Church  on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at 1:30 pm, with graveside services and burial to follow at 3:30 at Salem Baptist Cemetery in Potts Camp.  Brother Randy Bynum will officiate.
