Marie Colston Smith
Marie Colston Smith, 86, of Holly Springs, passed away at her home on Friday, August 26, 2022. She was born on September 11, 1936, in Holly Springs, to Eugene Colston and Mary Lucille Tomlinson Colston. Mrs Smith was a well loved member of the faculty of Marshall Academy for over forty years, and a member of the Holly Springs Church of Christ. Mrs Smith is survived by her daughter, Sandra Wood, of Corinth, and a granddaughter, Brittney Hurst, also of Corinth. She also leaves four great grandchildren, Braden Pittman, Bailey Pittman, Braxton Pittman and Reno Pittman. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty nine years, James Smith, and a grandson, Dustin Wood. Graveside services for Mrs Smith will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 3:00 pm, at Hill Crest Cemetery in Holly Springs. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Holly Springs Funeral Home prior to the service, from 1:00 until 2:30 pm.
