Martha Hangey

Martha Floyd Hangey, 77, of Holly Springs, passed away on October 16, 2021, at her home.  She was born on May 30, 1944, in Myrtle, to Wylie D Floyd and Ada Smith Floyd.  Mrs Hangey was a well-known longtime cashier at Carlisle's Big Star.  She most loved her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports, and she loved her Ole Miss Rebels.

Mrs Hangey is survived by her husband of fifty four years, Ronald Hangey, a son, Randy Hangey(Sandra), a daughter, Rachel Stone (Adam), and four grandchildren, Shelby Hangey, Daxton Hangey, Alex Stone, and Addi Stone, all of Holly Springs.  She also leaves two brothers, James Floyd of New Albany, and Edward Floyd of Byhalia, and three sisters, Arleva Bumpas of Holly Springs, Betty Clayton and Elizabeth Russom, both of New Albany.  

Graveside services for Mrs Hangey will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Red Banks Cemetery at 2:00 pm.  There will be a visitation at the Holly Springs Funeral Home prior to the services on Wednesday, from noon until 1:30 pm.
