Patricia Melissa Carrington, 74, of Byhalia, Mississippi passed away on June 16, 2026 at her residence in Byahlia. Patricia was born to the late Mr. Ronda Saltz and Mrs. Hazel Bailey Saltz on January 23, 1952 in Abingdon, Virginia. She was Pentecostal in faith and worked as a sales representative for safety products.
She is survived by 2 sons: Michael Gary Newbern Jr. of Byhalia and Vance Culver Carrington (Stephanie) of Holly Springs, a daughter, Melissa Lynn Fritts (Clinton) of Collierville, 4 grandchildren Madison, Eli, Lillian, and Boggan, and 2 great-grandchildren, Camden and Courtlynn. She is also survived by a sister, Linda Smith(Eddie) of Pfafftown North Carolina. She had 2 nephews, Eddie Jr and Michael. 3 great nephews Michael Jr, Jordan, and Ryan. She will be reunited with her Nephew Ronnie in Heaven.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM. Services will be held in the chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Friday, June 19th, 2026. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery where a graveside service will be held. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. |
