Ralph Eugene McClure, Entrepreneur Extraordinaire, left this world peacefully, to join his mother Margaret, father William Albert, and 10 siblings who preceded him, and are all gathered together with Jesus Christ in Heaven on January 16 in the year of our Lord 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville, TN.
Ralph was born on October 3, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant, MS and grew up working on the family farm where he learned the value and rewards of hard work. From there he proceeded to work various jobs. Day and Night (Carrier) & American Can were among the corporations in his early years. He found his calling in tractor trailer repair at Lee’s Truck and Trailer in Memphis, and would go on to open and run 3 tractor trailer shops as he built the most productive independently owned shop in the mid-south.
Ralph came from a musically talented family and honed his chops in church, where he would be alongside his mother and siblings, singing and playing. He fronted several country western bands in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. His love for music was only surpassed by his love for children, and most especially Jesus Christ.
Ralph is survived by his surrogate sons, Coltin King, Elijah and Brody Kyle of Olive Branch, and Lynn McClure of Byhalia, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Services for Ralph will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Holly Springs Funeral Home (1160 MS-311, Holly Springs, MS 38635) with a visitation at 12:00 pm, and the main service at 2:00 pm. His body will be laid to rest at Byhalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eli Kyle, Brody Kyle, Lynn McClure, Jesse Woods, Zach Jorgenson, Noah Jorgenson, Mike Hoskins, and Kevin Brown.
