Sheila Irene Goad
Sheila Irene Murkin Goad, 83, of Byhalia, passed away at her home on May 20, 2024. She was born in Barton Mills, England, on December 20, 1940, to Edward James Murkin and Ivy Huggins Murkin. Mrs Goad was a homemaker. Mrs Goad is survived by a son, Kenneth Goad (Annette) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and three daughters, Jean Goad (Jimmy Hunt) of Warsaw, Mississippi, Teresa Denison of Victoria, and Stacy Perryman of Barton. She also leaves two brothers, Charles Murkin of Bury St Edmonds in England, and Derek Richards of Mildenhall, England, three sisters, Jennifer Cotton of Richmond, Kentucky, Shirley Hunter and Jeannie Morley, both of Mildenhall, England, six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Mrs Goad was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Goad, and brothers Maurice Murkin and Johnny Murkin. Graveside services for Mrs Goad will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at noon at Byhalia Cemetery. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge.

You was always there for me my mom first, helping me grow making sure we had food to eat and some delicious food it was. a best friend when I needed one. a healer when I had a booboo or didn't feel good.I remember the sleepless night I had with an earache or leg cramps and you would just rub me tell me its gonna be ok. I could go on and on the laughs we had working in the yard, or rearanging the furniture. Your heart was one of a kind, you we're always strong never to show your pain or sadness.
