Timothy Earl Reed
Timothy Earl Reed, 47, of Hickory Flat, passed away on December 5, 2023, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He was born in New Albany on September 26, 1976, to Bobby Reed and Earlene Childers Reed. Tim was an avid Ole Miss Rebels fan, and enjoyed hanging in the Grove, and spending his weekends cooking for and entertaining his friends and family. His two children were his proudest accomplishments. Tim was a Quality Assurance Analyst with Walmart Distribution Center in Olive Branch. Tim is survived by his mother, Earlene Simpson of Hickory Flat, a son, Justin Reed of Honeybrook, Pennsylvania, and a daughter, Tara Reed (Damien) of Mohnton, Pennsylvania. He also leaves three brothers, Michael Reed of Memphis, Don Reed of Hickory Flat, and Jeff Reed (Mitzi) of Ripley, Mississippi, and a sister, Melinda Reed of Hickory Flat. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Reed. Services for Tim will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 am. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:00 am, and continue until service time. Burial will be at McKay Cemetery. Pallbarers for the service will be John Mills, Kevin Childers, Richard Childers, John Childers, Tyler Reed, Trey Reed, Jeff Bailey, and Henry Massey. Honorary pallbearers will be his friends and formrer co-workers from Chili's and O'Charley's Restaurants.
