William Ganus Gadd, 87, passed away at his home in Potts Camp on May 25, 2024. He was born in Potts Camp on October 7, 1936, to Earnest Gadd and Ezra Jackson Gadd. Mr Gadd was a retired truck driver, and a United States National Guard Veteran.
Mr Gadd is survived by his wife, Estelle Raymer Gadd of Potts Camp, two sons, William Rick Gadd (Linda) of Harmontown, Steve Gadd (Angie) of Hernando, step son, Robert Cartwright of Phoenix, Arizona, and three step daughters, Dana Sherrell of Knoxville, Tennessee, Sharon Meeks (Clay) of Blue Mountain, and Mitzi Cramer (Tim) of Ridgeland, South Carolina. He also leaves a brother, Clifton Gadd (Jill) of Grenada. ten grandchildren, Heather Nations (Lee), Diane O'Cain (William), Alison DePriest (Michael), Danielle Carey (Zachary), Katie Wilken (Kyle), Madison Sherrell, Jenna Mason (Brandon), Jacob Meeks (Alexus), Jackson Cramer (Gabi), Nicholas Cramer and Ben Cartwright, and twenty two great grandchildren. Mr Gadd was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Roberson Gadd and a son, Tony Gadd.
Services for Mr Gadd will be held at Temperance Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 1:00 pm. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00 am, and continue until service time. Burial will be at Temperance Hill Cemetery. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St Jude Children's Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Terry Roberson, Mickey Roberson, Michael DePriest, Jacob Meeks, Jackson Cramer, Nicholas Cramer, and Jon-Tyler Newby. Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Howell, Edgar Wilkerson, Herbert Conlee, Kerry Hale, Tim Nichols, Charles Jackson, Tim Cramer, Clay Meeks, Brandon Mason, and Swade Mason. |
