Alvin Ray Minor, 81, passed away at his home in Olive Branch, Mississippi, on August 20, 2025. He was born in Hickory Flat on July 12, 1944, to Gene Minor and Earline Hutchens Minor. Mr Minor was the owner of Minor Brothers Hardware Stores, and was active in the electrical and plumbing businesses.
Mr Minor is survived by his wife, Carole Ash Minor, and three sons, Danny Minor (Cana), David Minor, and Darron Minor, all of Waterford, Mississippi. He aslo leaves three grandsons and five great grandchildren. Mr Minor was preceded in death by his former wife, Margie Minor, and brothers William Minor and Glen Bounds.
Services for Mr Minor will be held at Springhill Baptist Church on Friday, August 22. 2025.at 11:00 am. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 am, and last until service time. Burial will be in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lake Johnson, Bart Garner, Frankie Richardson, Vick Stillwell, Blake Palmer and Mark Duvall. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Foster and Davey Newman.
