Betty Jean Sandling Thompson, 85, of Holly Springs, passed away on July 9, 2022, at home, surounded by her daughters. She was born on April 11, 1937 in Duck Hill, Mississippi, to Marvin Lee and Lallie Sandling. She was a long time employee of the dry cleaners in Holly Springs, where she loved serving her customers. She loved spending time with her family, watching cooking shows, working crossword puzzles, and bird watching on her back porch.
Mrs Thompson is survived by three daughters, Anita Olivares (Ernest) of Belen, New Mexico, Angela Pillow (Ed) of Amarillo, Texas, and Jame Byrd of Potts Camp. She also leaves a sister, Connie Bennett of Potts Camp and eight grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and eleven great great grandchildren, as well as many nephews and nieces.
Services for Mrs Thompson will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Bethany Baptist Church in Potts Camp. A visitation will be held for family and friends on Thursday, July 14, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery. |
