Francis F. Abels, 75 passed away on October 14, 2025 at his home in Byhalia, MS. He was born to Percy and Frances Abels on July 19,1950. Mr. Frances worked as a bus driver and was Baptist in faith. He is survived by a son, Daniel Ables of Byhalia, Ms, a Daughter, Candie Wilson of Byhalia, 4 Brothers: Archie Abels of Grenada, MS, Jerry Abels of Byhalia, MS, Jeff Abels of Grenada, MS, and Sam Abels of Byhalia, MS, 2 Sisters: Jackie Gandy of Oklahoma and Susan Ritchey of Virginia, 4 Grandchildren: Austin Wilson, Brianna Ables, Makayla Ables, Ava Ables, and 4 Great Grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday, October 21, 2025 - Visitation will begin at 10:30 and service to begin at 11:00 all at the Holly Springs Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Ables Family Cemetery in Byhalia, Ms

Name: Stewart Sisters (Chulahoma Road) Date: 10/19/2025 2:01:14 PM Message: Mr. Ables was a true supporter in our community. He did this without thought. It was effortless for him. It’s who he was. He made a lasting impact on the lives of the kids, that are now adults, of Chulahoma. We respected him. Almost 30 years later, my sister and I fondly remember him, often times being his early stops in the mornings or close to last in the afternoons. I guess you could call him, metaphorically, our “North Star”. We have great memories of our bus rides with Mr. Ables. A generation later, my sister and I share stories about him with her kids and our nieces and nephews. I’m sure they’ll relay these stories to their kids. There are not many people with his patience and dedication to others. We thank his family for sharing him with us. He will be missed.
