James "Jimmy" Otis Whaley, 73, of Potts Camp, Mississippi passed away on October 7, 2025 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Mississippi. Jimmy was born on March 3, 1952 to the late Mr. Jobe Loudy Whaley and Mrs. Mamie Lee Orman Whaley in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Mr. Whaley was Methodist in faith and worked as a farmer.

Jimmy is survived by a son, Seth Whaley of Chattanooga, Tennessee and a brother, David Whaley (Joyce) of Potts Camp, Mississippi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
