Michael J Joyner

Michael Joseph Joyner, Sr. was born October 9, 1950, and entered into rest on January 31, 2024.  Known as Mickey to everyone who  knew him, he spent most of his adult life working in shipping and transportation.  Mickey loved his family and was a devoted son, husband, daddy, and Paw  Paw.  He was a devoted fan of the Ole Miss Rebels.

Mickey was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur C. Joyner, Sr., his mother, Edna Young Joyner, brothers Jimmy, Ennis and Billy Joyner, and his granddaughter, Amanda Michelle Hillin. 

Mickey is survived by his loving wife of almost 56 years, Rosemary Joyner, sons, Michael Joseph Joyner, Jr. (Jodi), daughter, Serena Michelle Hillin (Mike), and Brian Neely Joyner (Paige).  Mickey is also survived by six grandchildren...Shelby Joyner Nelson (Dylan), Hailey Joyner Laney (Evan), Olivia Rose Byrd (Drew), Michael Andrew Hillin (Makayla), Daniel Kriby Joyner (Meleah) and Benjamin Neely Joyner...four great grandchildren... Carter Blake Nelson, Riley Rose Nelson, Mary Anne Laney and Kaycen Andrew Hillin.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, from 11:00 untill 1:00, at Carey Chapel Baptist Church, 170 Carey Chapel Rd, Red Banks, MS 38661.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, dontations be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department..

Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 with interment at Carey Chapel Cemetery.
