Wanda Rose Boyd

Wanda Rose Boyd, 86, of Holly Springs, passed away at her home on July 24, 2022.  She was born in Holly Springs on July 23, 1936, to Chesley and Rosa Welch Boyd.  Wanda graduated from Holly Springs High School in 1955, and attended Northwest Mississippi Junior College.  She was retired from the Marshall County Health Department, and was a longtime member of Holly Springs First United Methodist Church, where she was a faithful choir member.

Miss Boyd is survived by her sister, Lois Boyd of Hernando, and a nephew, Robin Boyd of Euliss, Texas.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy C Boyd and her parents.

Funeral services for Miss Boyd will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 3:00 pm.  A visitation for family and friends will begin at 2:00, and last until service time.  Burial, following the service, will be at Hill Crest Cemetery.

So sorry to hear that Wanda passed. I'll always remember her visits with her sister Lois to my grandparent's farm in Ripley in the 1960's. They would drive up in style in their 1965 Mustang.

She's Home now with all who preceded her. Sandy and I offer our condolences to all her family. May she rest in peace.
