David Clifton Patrick, 65, of Ashland, Mississippi passed away on May 23rd, 2026 at his residence. David was born to the late Mr. E.C. Patrick and Mrs. Gladys Jackson Patrick on June 3, 1960 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a Christian and enjoyed doing carpentry work. 

 

He was an avid outdoorsman that found joy in the simple things. He loved to be in the woods on a crisp spring morning chasing what he called "thunder chickens". But, what he loved most was his family. His grandchildren had him wrapped around their fingers. They were what he cherished the most. 

 

He believed in hard work, speaking the truth, and helping people. Some may say he was a loud man and they would be right. You always knew when David Patrick was around. His laugh was always the loudest in the room. 

 

He was a man amongst men, a loyal friend, a follower of Christ, and, most of all, he was a great dad. He will truly be missed by everyone he touched in his life. 

 

He is survived by two sons: Joe Patrick and Clifton Patrick, 2 daughters: Kristin Waldrip and Crystal Saponari, as well as six grandchildren: Daisy Patrick, Lily Patrick, Art Patrick, Eleanor Patrick, Collin Waldrip, and Carter Waldrip. He is also survived by a brother, Ricky Patrick. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Kendall Patrick and Stevie Patrick, as well as a sister, Lisa Patrick.

 

A graveside service will be held in the Ashland Cemetery on Saturday, May 30th, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
