Gary Dwayne "Bit" Stanton, 68, of Potts Camp, passed away on February 12, 2022 at Alliance Healthcare in Holly Springs. He was born on January 17, 1954, in Hickory Flat, to Thomas Stanton and Faye Smith Stanton. Mr Stanton was a truck driver.
Mr Stanton is survived by his wife of thirty two years, Leslie Whaley Stanton, a son Gary Stanton (Kalee) of New Albany, and a daughter, Chelsea Anderson (Dexter) of Potts Camp. He also leaves two brothers, Jacky Stanton (Louise) of Hickory Flat, and Jimmy Stanton (Bonnie) of Bethlehem, a sister, Pam Stanton Anderson of Bethlehem, and four grandchildren, Max Stanton, Audrey Anderson, Molly Stanton and Jake Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Faye Stanton.
Services for Mr Stanton will be held at Potts Camp Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 11:00 am. Brother Randy Hamilton will officiate. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, February 15, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. Burial, following the service, will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. |
