Margaret Ann Hardin went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 23rd. She was 72 years old and a longtime resident of Hickory Flat, Mississippi.
Margaret loved being a mother and a Mawmaw more than anything in the world. If a spontaneous road trip was ever mentioned, you could count her in. She loved seeing new places, trying new foods, and experiencing life to the fullest. She loved deeply and tenderly. She was smart, sharp-witted, and impossible to outsmart. Honest and genuine to her core—traits that feel rare these days—she spoke her mind and stood by what she believed.
Her final month showed the world the strength she had always carried. She fought hard because she loved her family so deeply, and she left this world surrounded by love. As Scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Margaret truly lived that verse. Today, she is rejoicing in the arms of our Savior, held in comfort, peace, and eternal rest.
Margaret was a wonderful mother to her daughter, Tonya McDaniel (Brent), and her son, Micheal Dyer. She was a devoted Mawmaw to her grandchildren: Chris (Brooke), Brianna (Joey), Caitlyn, Jacob, and Marcus (Bailey). Her greatest joy came from her beloved great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Meredith, Cayden, James, Ollie, Lexi, and a precious future great-grandbaby on the way.
She also held a special place in her heart for her brother, Jimmy Edwards (Diane), and she adored his children: Brandon (Tiffany) and Kerry (Anna), along with their beautiful children Elizabeth, Olivia, Caroline, Zeke, and Zoey.
She is preceded in death by her parents and many cherished relatives who have welcomed her into her heavenly home.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 29th at 11:00 AM. All services will be held at the Potts Camp First Baptist Church and burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Benton County.
