Sandra Shackelford

Sandra Shackelford, 56, died May 2, 2017 in Byhalia, MS. She was born December 11, 1960 in Clinton, AR to Larry Barnett and Mary Mildred Easley Barnett. She was a homemaker. She was woman of faith, family and friends. She loved Jesus Christ and people with a giving and loving soul. She fought for "In God We Trust" to be on the police cars in Byhalia and as a result of her diligence they are displayed on the cars. She also worked for her Lord and witnessed to people with every opportunity she had. She had a special love for her family.

Her service will be 4:00 p.m. on May 5, 2017 at the Holly Springs Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Cave City Cemetery in Cave City, AR. Pastor Shane Foust will be officiating.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Mildred Easley Barnett; 2 sons, Shane Foust (Lisha) of Cave City, AR, Brice Foust (Amanda) of Sulphur Rock, AR, 3 step-children from her late husband Melvin Shackelford; Manning Shackelford (Sammie) of Byhalia, MS; Emily Herring (Phillip) of Olive Branch, MS, Ellen Gehrke (Matt) of Byhalia, MS; 2 brothers, Steve Barnett and Jeff Barnett; 3 sisters, Janet Holt, Tammy Collins and Renee Smith; 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild; boyfriend, Ralph McClure and a host of nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Barnett and a husband, Melvin Shackelford.

Pallbearers will be Allen Barnett, Preston Barnett, Benny Smith, Dustin Smith, Denny Hansen, James Denman, Jeffery Hobbs, Joey Barnett, Shea Baskins and Lee Weddington.
