Scott Haley Sr.

Mr. Scott A. Haley of Holly Springs, Mississippi, passed away December 19, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Union County of COVID complications. Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesfday the 23rd of December at Holly Springs Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Jeff Tollison officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Holly Springs Funeral Home.

Born September 30, 1952, Mr. Haley grew up in Batesville, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Jack L. and Glenna J. Haley, both of whom proudly served in World War II.

Mr. Haley worked many years with the Holly Springs police department and fire department before changing jobs to start a new career with Federal Express. He most recently worked for Byhalia dispatch. Scott was a member of First United Methodist Church of Holly Springs. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, and serving his neighbors and community.

He is survived by his son, Scott Haley, Jr. (Beth) of Hernando, Mississippi, and daughter Melissa Thompson (Matt) of Olive Branch, Mississippi, grandchildren Bowen Haley, Emma Claire Haley, Olivia Haley and Haley Thompson, his sister Barbara Elliott of Pope, Mississippi and brother Mark Haley of Batesville, Mississippi. Mr. Haley was preceded in death by his brother Glenn Haley of Abilene, Texas.

I just heard about this and am heart broken. Just sent Scott his annual Christmas card and we have kept in touch in email since we both left FedEx. I am so very sorry for this loss.
