Troy Moss, 82, of Southaven, MS, was born December 20, 1942 and died peacefully at his home on August 18, 2025 with his wife and daughter at his side. 

Known for his charming wit and positive ‘Ain’t never had a bad day’ disposition, he treasured his family, especially his great grandchildren in his later years.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who worked hard to provide a solid foundation for his family.

His passion for years was hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling and very importantly, being a role model to many young boys (now men) who have benefited greatly from his time, love, and support.

He was a member of Heritage Church in Southaven, MS. 

He is survived by his beautiful wife Shirley Moss to whom he was married for over 63 years, his equally beautiful daughter Theresa Samuels (Craig) and three grandchildren Daylon Williamson (Laurie), Kristi Quates (Adam), and Sarah Fowler (Matt). Step grandchildren Jacob Samuels (Michelle) and Heather Wilkins (Lee). He was a very loved Papaw to 6 beautiful great grandchildren (Adler, Zoey, Jackson, Robin, Gwen and Charlotte) and 3 step great grandchildren (Gage, Cooper and Lilith) whom he cherished. He is also survived by one half-brother Jerry Moss.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Benton and Willie Mae Moss, 9 brothers and 4 half-brothers.
