Bruce Pennington

Bruce Pennington, 57, of Oxford, passed away on October 31, 2021, in Tupelo. He was born on July 13, 1964, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to his birth parents, Bruce W and Terry Pennington, and was later adopted by his maternal grandparents, Curtis C "Bill" and Brooksie Smith. He was a former Department Supervisor for Home Depot and a member of the Oxford Church of Christ.

He was predeceased by his grandparents and his biological father.  He leaves two brothers, Cliff Pennington of Charleston, and Barry Pennington of Texas, two sisters, Kim Browning of Bartlett, Tennessee, Tonia Casey of Munford, and  a dear cousin, Michelle Cook of Holly Springs.  

Services for Mr. Pennington will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 and lasting until service time.  Burial will be at Mt Pleasant Cemetery.

I was glad to have known Bruce & spent time with him in Sunday School, etc. His life reflected that he really trusted god with his own life, and wanted others to know our Lords grace also. I'm very sorry for your loss; but Bruce surely is "...absent from the body and present with the Lord"... (and painless!)
