Danny Morris Valentine passed away after a brief illness at the Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch, MS on February 15th, 2021. Danny was born March 5th, 1951 in Memphis, TN to Virginia and Morris “Dit” Valentine.
Danny grew up with his family, numerous cousins and friends in Slayden, Mississippi where he graduated in 1969 from Marshall County Agricultural High School. He then attended The University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi.
Danny was a former bank manager of Slayden Bank and then joined his father on the family farm as manager. He later was the farm manager for Sparks Farms in Lamar, Mississippi, and most recently a truck driver for Cooper Trucking in Holly Springs, MS.  Danny had a wonderful personality, never meeting a stranger. He loved life in the country, being with friends but most of all, spending time with his family. He was a Christian, baptized at a young age at Slayden Baptist Church, where he renewed his membership recently. Danny loved the Lord and loved reading God’s word.

Danny will be sorely missed and leaves behind, his beloved wife, Elaine Hensley Valentine of Snow Lake, Mississippi, and step-daughter, Kaitlyn Elliott Gray (Drew) and his precious granddaughter, whom he adored, Hensley, his two sons, whom he was most proud of, Michael Daniel Valentine presently in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Jeremy Morris Valentine (Michelle) and his grandson, the absolute joy of his life, Jack Alexander Valentine of Troy, Missouri.
He also leaves his loving siblings, to whom he was very close, Sherry Valentine Hughes (Jimmy Lee), Johnny Valentine, Cindy Valentine Farese (John Booth), Dede Valentine Skelton (Kerry), 10 nieces and nephews.

There will be a private funeral service for his immediate family.
