Frank Ellis Boswell Sr

Frank Ellis Boswell Sr, a lifelong resident of Slayden, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021.  He was born on December 31, 1950, to Rupert and Mary Boswell in Memphis, Tennessee.  He was the youngest of nine children.  Frank was a graduate of Slayden High School and Mississippi State University.  While living in Starkville, he met the love of his life, Diane.  Frank and Diane were married on July 27, 1973.

Frank was a devoted follower of Christ and its impact was evident in every aspect of his life.  Frank was a faithful husband, father, and grandfather.  His love for Mississippi State athletics, devouring every bit of knowledge possible, and hosting celebrities for a chicken dinner, was easily eclipsed by his love for family.

Frank is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane Boswell; two sons, Feb (Stacey) and Eric (Robbie); six grandchildren, Eleanor, Myra and Beatrice, Emily, Rosie, and Ellis.  Frank is also survived by his brother Henry and sisters Elizabeth Bobbitt, Doll (Mary Inez) Beall, and Arrie Busby. He was preceded in death by his brothers Dean and Jesse, and sisters Ruth Alice Bell and Ida Faye Beckham.

Services will be held at Slayden Baptist Church, 2534 US-72.  Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, September 9th.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 10th.  No graveside service will be held.
