Ivy Wayne Teel 72, was born September 23, 1947. A life long resident of Mt. Pleasent, MS. Retired business owner of W.T. Builders, served in the Army National Guard. He served 39 years on the Mt. Pleasent Fire Department and was the founder and last charter member and most current position, Fire Chief.
Ivy Wayne was married to the late Patricia Bryan Teel. He is survived by his mother, Allene Teel, one son, Gary Teel of Mt. Pleasent. His daughter, Ginger Teel Byrd of Mt. Pleasent, MS. five grandchildren, Daniel Teel, nDrew Byrd, Kaitlyn Byrd Hylander, Hannah Teel and Noah Teel. Three sisters, Martha Fant of Holly Springs, MS, Kathy Goode of Mt. Pleasent, MS and Madge Winburn of Hickory Flat, MS. Ivy Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Bryan Teel and father, Campbell Teel.
Services will be held September 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at Carey Chapel Baptist Church. There willl be a visitation Sunday evenig, September 22, 2019 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at Carey Chapel Cemetery.
