James Walker Fitch Jr
James Walker Fitch, Jr. James Walker Fitch, Jr., 63, of Holly Springs, Mississippi, passed away on October 3, 2022. Walker was born on May 30, 1959, in Holly Springs, Mississippi. He grew up in Holly Springs and graduated from Marshall Academy in 1977. Throughout his life, Walker enjoyed the outdoors. From hunting to growing flowers, fruits and vegetables, he was at peace with nature. He also enjoyed cooking and was an avid baseball and football fan. Walker loved his family dearly, especially his five grandchildren. He attended their school or sporting events, always wearing a big smile. He looked for every opportunity to be in New Orleans or Oxford to be with his grandchildren. Walker is survived by a son, Justin (Nina) Fitch, a daughter, Miranda (Mason) Bennett; and five grandchildren, Henry Fitch, Mary Mason Bennett, Brooks Bennett, George Fitch and Walker Bennett. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Fitch, a sister, Donna (Tim) Cooper and a nephew, Will (Angela) Olita. Walker is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Fitch. Serving as pallbearers are Carter Cocke, Tim Cooper, Clay Crawford, Phillip Cunningham, Will Olita, and Mike Power. On Friday, October 7, 2022, at Hillcrest Cemetery, visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by a burial at 11:00 am. Arrangements are being conducted by Holly Springs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
