Melba Lee Walker, 87, passed away at her home in Olive Branch on March 6, 2022. She was born on September 23, 1934, in Benton County, to William Terry Akin and Annie Lou Graves Akin. Mrs Walker was a member of Collierville Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Mrs Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Walker. She is survived by her sons, Gordon Dwayne Walker (Olga) of San Antonio, Texas, and Scott Walker of Southaven. She also leaves a sister, Carneil Meisel of New Albany, five granddaughters, Hanna Walker, Erica Lashley (Isaac), Emily Walker, Angela Walker, and Jylana Walker, and two great granddaughters, Daisy Walker and Riley Burnett.
Services for Mrs Walker will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 2:00 pm. Brother Randy Smith will officiate. A visitation for family and friends will begin at noon, and last until service time. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery. |
