Beottis Elmo Clayton

Beottis Elmo Clayton, 88 of Potts Camp, MS passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Born on February 4, 1937 to Lonnie Clayton and Cora Owens Clayton in Potts Camp, he was a Methodist and a Shipping Clerk at Holly Springs Brick & Tile.

 

Mr. Clayton is survived by his wife, Jenece Clayton and daughters, Beth Clayton Sprinkle (Steve) of Saltillo and Joyce Clayton Sturgeon (Paul) of Monticello AR. He also leaves three grandchildren, Daniel Duke, LeAnne Vance (Antonio) and Jon Mark Sprinkle (Abby) and seven great grandchildren.

 

Mr. Clayton’s service will be held Tuesday, August 26 in the Chapel at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:00 and service following at 2:00. Private family burial will be in Waterford.

Beottis was so sure of his salvation and was not afraid to speak out if he needed too. The only time I ever saw him upset was the time the youngest daughter and I decided to wash out his cooler Boy did we mess up. There was a block of ice it and Joyce made th I saw
e decision to throw the ice away. That was the only time I saw him mad We didn’t know. But he told us That was the only time I saw time I saw him unhappy.
