Roger M. Taylor, Sr,  84, passed away on February 16, 2021 at his residence in Waterford, MS after a courageous battle with cancer.  Roger was predeceased by his wife of almost 50 years, Maxine C. Taylor; his son, Roger M. Taylor, Jr.; his parents, Alva and Louise Taylor, and his sister, Ruth Barnett. 

He leaves his daughter, Sondra Morris (John); grandchildren Madison Taylor (Brittany), Clare Morris, Nick Morris, Kathryn Morris, Samuel Morris, Stephen Morris; great granddaughter, Collins Taylor; brother, Floyd Taylor (Frances);  brother-in-law, Bill Cook (Barbara); niece, Billie Ruth Therrell; nephews, Kenneth Barnett, Bart (Alendra) McGuire and Matt (Becky) McGuire and great nieces and great nephews. 

Roger was retired from Federal Compress and Warehouse and was honorably discharged from the US Army National Guard.  

Visitation will be at Holly Springs Funeral Home (1160 Hwy. 311, Holly Springs, MS 38635) Wednesday, February 24 from 10 am – 11:45 am followed by his funeral at Noon.  Burial will be at Memory Hill Gardens (3700 N. Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN  38133) at 3:00 pm.
