Wandaleen "Wanda" Hunsucker was born January 16, 1941 and gained her angel wings on December 16, 2020, at the age of 79. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Services were held on December 18, 2020, with burial at Rice Chapel Methodist Church where she was a member.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gene Hunsucker; her daughters Marlene McKenzie (Lee) and Rhonda Tice (David); grandchildrenMegan Thompson (Jarrett), all of Michigan City, Hamer McKenzie (Laken), of Ashland, Hunter Tice (Shelby), and Austin Tice of Michigan City; great-grandchildren Kenzie Thompson, MaelieThompson, Livie Thompson of Michigan City, Jorja Kate Thomas, Marlee McKenzie , of Ashland, and Ann Majors Tice of Michigan City. Three brothers Tony Wilburn (Lisa), of Madison, Terry Wilburn (Lynn), of Michigan City, and Randy (Sondra) Wilburn of Ashland. Two sisters Martha Williford of Grand Junction, TN, and Kathy Hock of Marion, AR.
Preceding her in death are her parents, W.T. and Velma Wilburn, her brother Charles Wilburn, and sister, Barbara Faulkenbery.
Aside from taking care of her grandchildren, Wanda was a talented seamstress and spent countless hours quilting. For many years, she and her husband Gene owned and operated of the Cottn Patch Cafe* in Michigan City.
